The concepts and themes in this collection are as old as humanity but the songs themselves could not have been created without today's technology. Martin lives in Germany, I live in Scotland and we have never met face to face. The collaboration between us only happened because of the existence of the Internet. I threw a bottle into cybersea, Martin found it and responded. Thanks then not only to him and to the friends who have helped us directly on this production but also to those hearts and minds that developed and provided the channel that enabled our words and music to meet and merge in the first place.

Als ich seinerzeit durch‘s Internet strolchte, fiel mir eine Seite „Words waiting for Music“ auf. Da ich viel Musik hatte, die auf Worte wartete, lag der Gedanke an eine Zusammenarbeit nahe. Die Musik ist zum Teil tatsächlich Anfang der 90er Jahre entstanden, gut, dass Alison geholfen hat, sie aus den hintersten Ecken meiner Festplatten zum Leben zu erwecken. Sie hat die Worte zu „Long Time Gone“, „Long Cold And Lonely Winter“ und „Driftwood (Do You Remember?)“ zu meiner Musik geschrieben. Bei den anderen Stücken habe ich zu ihren Texten die Musik gemacht. Mit Hilfe guter Freunde und des Computers ist letztendlich diese CD entstanden, der ich mit diesen Zeilen alles Gute mit auf den Weg gebe.
